Drs. Peter Acker, Jeff Brown, Norman Berkowitz. Drs. Mary Versfelt, Kristen Woodard, Lauren Carton. Our easy-to-reach office has regularly scheduled hours Monday through Friday. Sick children with acute illness can also be seen without an appointment weekdays before the start of our regular scheduled hours. On weekend and holiday mornings, children with acute and urgent medical problems can also be seen by a physician. (See our office hours section for further information.) A physician is ALWAYS available by telephone to discuss urgent medical problems. We have two designated waiting areas to minimize contact between well and sick children. Consultation appointments can be scheduled to discuss behavioral and school-related issues with our physicians. We encourage our many adolescent and young adult patients to remain in our practice until 21 years of age.	AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OUR PATIENTS PEDIATRIC ASSOCIATES PC HAS JOINED YALE NEW HAVEN HEALTH SYSTEM'S NORTHEAST MEDICAL GROUP (NEMG)  NEMG is part of the Yale New Haven Health System  which includes Greenwich Hospital, Bridgeport Hospital, and the Yale - New Haven Hospital, as well as many prominent physicians and physician groups. Expanded Services: We have always been committed to providing the best care for our patients. This new affiliation with NEMG will allow us to add additional services that might not otherwise be available. Business will continue as usual. We will have the same physicians and staff. Our address, telephone number, office hours, and office policies will remain unchanged. The only difference for our patients is that billing will be done through NEMG and checks will be written directly to them. Current Insurance Plans: We are currently participating providers in Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, United Health Plans, Oxford, Pomco, GHI , Cigna, Aetna and insurance covered by Multiplan.  Bring Insurance Cards With You: Even if we do not presently participate in your plan, please bring your insurance card with you to each visit so that we can keep your records up to date. Let Others Know: We encourage you to let friends and family know that we are now accepting most major insurance plans.
